Darian Lane is an African American film writer, director, and producer. Best known as an Assistant Director and Producer. He has worked on over 350 Music Videos and Commercials, most notable for Muhammad Ali, Black-Eyed Peas, Chris Brown, Ashlee Simpson, Pharrell, Gwen Stefani, P!nk, Natalie Portman, Lexus, Proactive, VISA, Pepsi, American Express, and Beyoncé.

His first film, "The Hitchhiking Game", was based on a Milan Kundera short story, which went to the Cannes Film Festival. His subsequent film "The Collector" went to the NY/LA, Orlando, and Malibu Film Festivals.

Darian Lane is the uncredited creator of the Starz tv show "Flesh & Bone" and the beach volleyball reality show called "AVP" .

He also wrote several produced plays, "The Broadway Play (aka Al Pacino's The Humbling)" "Beautiful Corpses," "Birth of a MURDERER" and "Backstage."  

 

Born in Philadelphia and raised in Bethesda, Maryland, Darian Lane has always had a great affinity for reading and writing. His novels include: "The Girlfriend Experience", "Invisible Sentence", "Flashy Fiction (vol. 1 & 2)", "Hashtag," "True Hollywood Stories", "unabridged", "GASLIGHT", "The Great AMERICAN Novel", "The Novel (a memoir)" and "The Sci-5 Fantasy".
